Druid
Overview
A shapeshifter who bulldozes through enemies using Bear, Wolf, and Wyvern forms, or stays in human form to sling nature magic from range. The class most defined by choosing between direct control and always-on power.
Playstyle Notes
- Shapeshifting forms each have a distinct combat identity, Bear for close-range pulverizing, Wolf for pack summons, Wyvern for ranged breath attacks
- Shaman offers straightforward, always-on power that scales reliably regardless of execution
- Oracle trades that reliability for foresight-based mechanics that reward precise timing and setup
Good For
- Players who enjoy shapeshifting and flexible combat-style switching
- Anyone who wants a proven, exceptionally forgiving league starter (Shaman's Meteor Bear build has been demonstrated clearing the campaign on minimal gear)
- Players who enjoy timing-and-setup mechanics over always-on power, via Oracle
Choosing an Ascendancy
Choosing an Ascendancy
Shaman is the clear recommended starting point, its Rage-fueled bear-form playstyle has been demonstrated clearing the full campaign on minimal gear in a fresh SSF run, an unusually strong signal of a forgiving floor. Oracle is a more niche, less-explored direction built around foresight and timing mechanics, its lower community coverage reflects genuine niche status rather than the Ascendancy being non-functional, but it’s a harder recommendation for a first Druid character.
