Warrior
Overview
A heavy front-line fighter who delivers powerful, heavy blows to the ground and can shrug off attacks from smaller foes thanks to thick armour. The most straightforward class to pick up if you want a tanky, low-execution playstyle.
Playstyle Notes
- Strength scales both damage and defense simultaneously, making Warrior naturally tankier than most classes without extra investment
- Slam skills hit hard but are slower and more telegraphed than other weapon types, positioning matters more than reflexes
- Totem-focused builds are available for players who prefer a more hands-off playstyle
Good For
- Players who want the lowest-friction, most forgiving league starter
- Anyone who prefers tanking hits over dodging them
- Players new to the genre who want a class that punishes mistakes less severely
Choosing an Ascendancy
Choosing an Ascendancy
Titan and Warbringer are both strong, proven league-starter picks, Titan leans purely defensive with the highest HP ceiling in the game, while Warbringer adds totems and war cries for a more group-friendly, semi-summoner playstyle. Smith of Kitava trades some offense for the highest raw survivability in the class, but its custom armour-forging mechanic has a steeper learning curve and isn’t recommended as your very first Warrior build.
