Ritual League Mechanic Guide
Core loop
Kill monsters standing inside a Ritual altar’s glowing circle to earn Tribute. Touching the altar starts the ritual itself, reviving the monsters you just killed so you fight them again for the actual rewards. Spend Tribute at the altar’s reward window on Omens, unique items, or defer rewards for later. Monsters killed at one altar respawn at every other Ritual altar in the same map, so Tribute gains compound the more altars you’re running per map.
The Ritual ladder
- Standard Ritual: the everyday version that rolls naturally on maps, or can be guaranteed in a region with a Ritual Precursor Tablet slotted into a completed Tower.
- Queen’s Ritual: a rare upgrade, unlocked by allocating the Mysterious Rites Atlas passive, which gives every Ritual an 8% chance to roll into this version instead. It ends in an optional fight against The Queen in the Mists, who drops one of three new Corrupted Idols (socketable augments with strong, build-defining stats and real downsides).
- An Audience with the King: instead of spending Tribute on rewards, you can offer it toward summoning the King in the Mists for a guaranteed high-value unique fight.
- Rite of the Nameless: a continuous Ritual chain that runs across five linked maps. Each final ritual in the chain drops a boss-key fragment, collect all five to unlock the pinnacle fight.
- The Bodach: the Ritual pinnacle boss, reached after completing the Rite of the Nameless.
Practical tips
- Clear Ritual encounters before engaging map bosses where possible, dying mid-boss-fight can wipe the map’s remaining content, including progress toward the Rite of the Nameless.
- The Ritual circle can get genuinely cramped once several bosses and packs overlap inside it, bring real defensive layers rather than relying purely on burst damage to clear it safely.
- If you’re chasing Queen’s Rituals specifically for their Omen density, stack Ritual Precursor Tablets to force more altars per map and increase how often the 8% roll comes up.
